ISSUES RAISED BY THE COMMUNITY

It was important to go out and ask the community for their views and to do this a Consultation Fun Day was organised in August 2000.

The report written on the findings of the Consultation day included the comments and ideas of all those who attended. The 335 people who participated on that day account for about 17% of the population of this area and they made over 2000 comments and suggestions.

The second consultation day in November 2000 displayed all the information from the first consultation and categorised all the comments and ideas into eight categories. People were given the opportunity to add new ideas and comment on the results. The eight categories are as follows: -

The Local Environment, Health,  Community Facilities,  Crime & Safety,  Leisure,  Work Training & the Local Economy, Traffic & Transport,  Youth.
