THE REAL NAPPY PROJECT

Did you know that 7,700 tonnes of disposable nappies are dumped in Cornwall's landfills every year. Over the 2 1/2 years that a baby is in nappies, the cost of disposables to the mother is estimated at £900.

The alternative is to use washable nappies. The Cornish Real Nappy Project is a partnership between Lollipop Children's Products, Cornwall County Council and Cornwall Healthcare Trust to reduce the number of disposables going into landfill.

Today's washable nappies are shaped to fit and fasten with velcro and poppers are are attractive in appearance.
